Abstract :
An algebraic and heuristic method for finding the vanishing point is presented. The triple line method used for the algebraic part does not need vote counting, accurate locating of edges, or special camera geometry. In the heuristic part, the mask-table technique filters out the vertice-included three-line groups, while angle-guided search avoids unlikely line combinations. The algebraic part saves storage, while the heuristic part reduces the amount of computation. A very simple and intuitive method for finding the camera parameter is presented
