Abstract :
Although many approaches for true motion estimation have been proposed in the academic literature, relatively few have been implemented in actual products due to their complexity. This paper proposes the usage of integral frame attributes in a proven method for robust true motion estimation, i.e. recursive search block matching. This combination enables a 64-fold reduction in arithmetic operations while largely maintaining the match quality.
