Abstract
A simple and efficient technique for the suppression of undesirable modes in dielectric resonator filters is presented in detail. Such technique may permit a substantial augment of the filter´s frequency range of operation. In addition, schemes to simplify the dielectric resonator filters geometry, leading to a smaller and more compact device, as requested for instance by aerotransported radar systems are also presented.
