Abstract :
Efficient parking space searching can help avoid unnecessary car emission, and help contribute to greenhouse gas reduction. An effective way to improve the parking efficiency is mapping the parking meters along with their operational information and sharing it with the public. This study presents a project utilizing GPS and GIS to collect and manage the parking meters in a university campus. This project is expected to help reduce car emission by improving parking efficiency, contributing to an environmentally friendly campus.
