  • Abstract
The measurement of Sb(III) by diffusive gradients in thin-films (DGT) using a 0.0030 M solution of sodium polyacrylate (PAAS) as the binding agent with the modified DGT devices, PAAS DGT, had been systemically investigated. The capacity of PAAS DGT for Sb(III) was 22.52 μg·mL-1. The PAAS DGT had a substantial binding capacity at pH 4-9 and concentrations of competitive Na+ up to 0.7 M. The Sb(III) concentrations were determined accurately and simultaneously in synthetic solution by PAAS DGT (Recovery = 92.26 %, r2 = 0.9913, RSD% = 2.86). It has been demonstrated in this study that the PAAS DGT can be used for the sampling and measurement of Sb(III) in waters.
