Abstract
A very simple configuration of a PEC cylindrical core covered by two concentric dielectric layers is considered. The possibility of drastically reducing the scattering effect of the structure by a proper selection of the constituent materials is examined. Based on the model of equivalent currents, closed-form expressions for the induced effective electric and the magnetic moments are derived. The influence of the electric and the magnetic response of the system on its cloaking performance has been identified.
