Abstract :
This paper introduced an online real time monitoring, automatic sampling and analysis system for possible microbiological contaminations and its application as well as future prospect. Through one-year study in Borensberg Waterworks, Motala, Sweden, using Predect´s design, it demonstrated that besides its prospected application, it can also be used for detecting water treatment efficiency and comparison of different treatment processes. It might also be used for reducing costs through control of the dose of disinfectants.
