Abstract
We investigated the dynamic operation of an asynchronous mode-locking Erbium-doped fiber laser operating at 10 GHz as a deviation from the synchronous regime. We observed that the polarization plays a major role in the process allowing to obtain a cleaner and stable mode-locking spectrum.
