Abstract :
The characteristics of soil fertility microbial biomass and respiration intensity under four typical ecological restoration slopes with seasons changes. It indicated that the soil fertility and microorganisms were in significant seasonal differences by one-way analysis of variances (ANOVA). Microbial biomass carbon and nitrogen content in August (summer), October (autumn) were higher than those in spring and winter. The maximum of soil respiration intensity showed up in August (summer). The relationship among soil microbial biomass, soil respiration intensity and soil nutrients exhibited significant or very significant positive correlation. In the same season, soil organic matter, total nitrogen, available nitrogen and microbial biomass were higher or significantly higher than those in control check samples suggesting that ecological restoration projects can significantly improve soil quality in disturbed areas.
