Abstract :
The novel configuration of a shorted fractal Sierpinski gasket antenna is proposed. The new configuration is similar to the inverted L antenna and the shorted loop monopole. Using only half the Sierpinski gasket structure, the symmetrical side is folded over to be parallel to the ground plane. While the 50/spl Omega/ feed remains at the apex, a shorting pin is placed at the far end of the gasket. A planar configuration of this design is also demonstrated.
