  • Abstract
    We (1996) have presented the INTERCHEQUE recognition system for automatic reading of French bank checks. The key feature of the system is the ability to process both handwritten and printed checks and recognize both courtesy and legal amounts written in French. A new A2iA recognition chain, is designed to process US bank checks written in English. It is able to recognize both courtesy and legal amounts on handwritten personal or business checks as well as process printed checks
