Abstract
The analysis of scattering from multiple Bodies of Revolution(BoR) has important applications in microwave remote sensing, radar imaging and other areas. Traditional BoR basis functions are only valid for single BoR, difficult for extension into multiple BoR case. In this paper we describe a numerically efficient strategy for solving the scattering problems from multiple BoR. This approach is based on the BoR basis function and characteristic basis function method(CBFM). The BoR basis functions are applied to realize fast solution of each BoR the interactions between multiple BoR are evaluated based on the CBFM. In order to accelerate the filling of the CBF impedance matrix, hybrid basis function mapping technique with the MLFMA is developed here. By use of the present approach, the scattering of multiple BoR can be solved efficiently. Numerical results demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of this method.
