Abstract
A new method for automatic optimization of asynchronous circuits, synthesized using data driven decomposition is presented. The optimization is performed by modifying the high-level description of the circuit with restructuring conditional statements in order to achieve lower energy and area after the synthesis. The method is applied to the Reed Solomon error detector as the benchmark and shows area and energy optimizations up to 6% and 12% respectively
