Abstract
Network analysis and classical two-port noise theory have come together in recent years to provide analysis and design techniques for communications array antennas, high sensitivity astronomical receivers, and other multiantenna systems. Key recent results are surveyed, including models for correlated antenna loss and receiver noise and impedance matching of multiport antennas and receivers for optimal SNR, and a simple approximation for correlated receiver noise is given.
