Abstract :
Physical mixture of limestone and lime SOx absorbent was used to remove SO2 in wet flue gas desulfurization system (WFGD) in this paper. The effects of varied running parameters such as slurry pH, molar ratio of CaO to (CaO and CaCO3) and L/G ratio on removal efficiencies of SO2 were investigated experimentally. The rational operation conditions were obtained, in which slurry pH was 6.0, molar ratio of CaO to (CaO and CaCO3) was 0.25 and L/G ratio was 10L·m-3. Taking the selected power plant as an example, system energy savings could be achieved by using the physical mixture of limestone and lime SOx absorbent and the better economic benefit was obtained.
