Abstract :
Recently, a numerical scheme based on a Fourier-Series Approach (FSA) has been proposed to analyse soliton propagation in optical fibres. A test performance has been carried out comparing this novel technique to the widely used Beam Propagation Method (BPM). The remits indicate that the BPM should be preferable for its accuracy, robustness and faster execution
