Abstract :
This paper is devoted to the design of a log-periodic dipole array element for the low frequency band of the SKA telescope [1]. The main aim is to maximize the sensitivity per element. This is done by achieving stable and smooth radiation patterns and impedance across the frequency band (6.5:1) with a specific aim of covering a +/- 45 degrees region of the sky from zenith.
