Abstract :
The detection device of current wheelbase difference is with high cost and there exists the detection principle error. The detection device of wheelbase difference based on the piezoelectric cable, which is regarded as sensor, is proposed in this paper. It is the main structural feature of this device that piezoelectric cables are placed under trapezoidal bedplate, and the bedplates are arranged on the vehicle testing line symmetrically. The automobile wheelbase difference can be got by processing and analyzing voltage output signal from the piezoelectric cable when the wheels pass through on the bedplate. After analyzing a large number of the experimental data from real vehicle detection, high detection accuracy, work stability and reliability of the device are proved. Furthermore, the device has the outstanding characteristic of low cost. Therefore, the detection device has a very good value of wide application.
