  • Abstract
    According to Soil Water Dynamics principle, the soil moisture characteristic curves of coarse sand, medium sand and fine sand were measured with sandy funnel method. The soil moisture characteristic curves presented the S shape. Van Genuchten retention function was used to describe the soil moisture characteristic curves, and the results showed excellent agreement between experimental curves and prediction curves. The soil water parameters obtained from this paper provided key parameters for simulation of water and pollutants movement in unsaturated zone.
