Abstract :
A new architecture for a compact dual-band coupler suitable for avionic systems operating in the VHF and UHF bands is proposed. The structure is implemented using lumped inductor and capacitor elements. The required elements and their integration to form the dual band coupler are designed and fabricated in LTCC technology with very small form factor. Measured results are in close agreement with simulation and show that the coupler meets the required specifications.
