Abstract :
The pupa skin is a kind of waste after removing pupa oil and protein. It contains lots of Chitin and can be utilized. The experiments had proved that we can gain good Chitin if the pupa skin soaked in HCl of 6% so as to remove inorganic salts, de-colored by KMnO4 of 1.5% and bleached by oxalic acid. At same, it can be gained industrial Chitosan by NaOH (40%) under 60°C.
