Abstract :
The paper describes a novel method for the efficiency evaluation of three-phase induction motors using a synthetic loading technique. The method substantially reduces the testing time and vertically mounted machines can be tested in the same way as horizontal ones, without the need to connect a load to the machine´s drive shaft
