Abstract :
In this paper we present a CBIR method based on features calculated on edges extracted from wavelet transform coefficients produced by the JPEG 2000 compression algorithm. We compare two different feature extraction schemes used on the edges. We test our algorithm on the novel image database "Amsterdam Library of Object Images ", and we produce an enhanced version of precision -recall graphs that better test the robustness of our algorithm.
