Abstract :
In order to improve the visual quality of images and image sequence in low contrast, amplifying the difference of foreground target, a method based on the combination of non-linear luminance commutation and strengthened algorithm of improved Logarithmic Image Processing (LIP) and interframe light compensation is proposed. At first, low contrast images are classified as over-bright and over-dark. Then an improved non-linear luminance commutation method and improved self-adjusting LIP factor method are proposed separately, achieving a better effect in increasing contrast. To strengthen the vision effect of movement image in low contrast, further adjust of luminance is executed partially, according to movement image sequence with inter-frame correlation. Experiment result indicates that, this easy and rapid algorithm will not only guarantee better vision quality, but also provides great vision quality in RGB color space.
