An integrated municipal command, control and communication system

Improved system functional operation and economy of system design, implementation and operation can be realized by a municipality if a systems engineering approach is used to develop one system to provide the command, control and communications necessary for the public safety and public service functions the city furnishes for its citizens. This approach was selected by the City of Jackson, Mississippi and the project and the resultant system design are described herein. The experience gained on this project can be of assistance to others who endeavor to take a similar approach.
