Abstract
This work presents the design of an antenna array operating in X-band for monitoring oil spills on ocean surfaces. The array shows a squared cosecant profile over its E-plane and comprises 32 resonant slotted metallic waveguides fed by a single waveguide through feeding slots and metallic coupling ridges. Capacitive and inductive metallic irises are used for phase controlling.
