Abstract :
Multi-port converters (MPCs) are becoming a promising concept for hybrid power sources. This concept is encouraged due to its capabilities to remove redundant power stages, increase efficiency and reduce weight and cost. Moreover, the development of multi-port converters configurations is essentially related to the nature of the application, the needed performances and its range of power. In this paper, the authors study a DC-link MPC configuration, evaluate the semiconductors losses and present different simulation results of the converter under Matlab®/Simulink® environment.
