Abstract :
A study is made of the performance of a fast frequency hopped spread spectrum multiple-access communication system with M-ary frequency-shift keying modulation. The system operates through a frequency-selective slow-fading Rayleigh channel coupled with other-user interference and additive white Gaussian noise. Signals received through multiple antennas are combined by means of selection diversity, namely, the output of the antenna which has a path giving the largest path gain is selected to generate the detection statistics. It is shown that the system performance can thus be improved significantly
