Abstract :
The effect of Al-modified zeolite in the treating of fluorinated water was observed and the factors affecting the treating effect were discussed. Experiments were taken with Al-modified zeolite prepared under different conditions. The experimental results show that Al-modified zeolite performed well in the treating of fluorinated ground water used in the experiment. The concentration and soak time of hydrochloric acid, concentration and soak time of aluminium sulfate affected the removal effect of fluorine in the fluorinated water, and a preferable preparation condition was immersing in hydrochloric acid of 3.0mol/L for 10 hours and then in aluminum sulfate of 0.2mol/L for 7 hours. For water with fluorine concentration of 1.63mg/L, the fluorine removal rate was 45.21% and the concentration of fluorine in the effluent was 0.893mg/L, which can meet the requirement of national drinking water quality.
