Abstract
Optimal air over-plus coefficient is one of the most important technical parameters in hot blast stoves combustion process. This parameter is usually measured with some hardware instrumentations. But this kind of instrumentation is very expensive and difficult to be maintained. So a novel method for determining the optimal range of air/fuel ratio according to off-line or on-line data of the on-gas phase was proposed after analyzing the huge amount of data accumulated on the control system of hot blast stoves. With the optimal combustion efficiency as its control target, a new kind of experience-based AI control algorithm using CBR methodology for the air/fuel ratio control of hot blast stoves was developed and implemented.
