Abstract :
This paper describes how switchgear equipment manufacturers are developing new products to reduce the lead times and make selection simpler. It describes the recent development within the industry of standard solutions for medium voltage switchgear and discusses how this has been possible with numerical protection relays and fixed pattern SF 6 circuit breakers
