  • Abstract
The paper presents a new wideband stochastic indoor channel model which incorporates the dynamic evolution of paths as the mobile moves by adapting the concept of the Markov process. Analysis shows that multiple births and deaths are possible at any instant of time. Furthermore, correlation exists between the number of births and deaths. An M-step, 4-state Markov channel model is proposed in order to account for these two effects. In addition, the methodology used to extract the channel parameters from the measurement data is also discussed.
