Abstract :
This paper proposes an enhanced method for mitigation of network traffic using TCP packet control in a GGSN (Gateway GPRS Support Node). In proposed method, the GGSN determines whether the received packet is the TCP signalling or not according to the information of packet size, and the TCP signalling holding time adjusted by network traffic load status. Through the OPNET simulation, we demonstrate that the network traffic load can be reduced.
