Abstract :
This paper present the characteristic of indoor airflow and thermal environment using vortex diffuser as dedicated outdoor air system (DOAS) terminal outlet by means of numerical simulation. Physical model and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model was developed based on experimental chamber and general indoor properties of air conditioning system. The mathematical model, turbulence model and boundary condition for CFD were discussed and determined. Indoor air velocity field and temperature field of DOAS was predicted. The CFD results agree well with the experimental result.
