Abstract :
A triggering circuit for realizing the automatically capturing lightning stokes image on transmission lines has been studied to effectively detect the optical radiation of lightning channel. Firstly the signal characteristics of lightning flashes and background light are discussed and the performance indexes of lightning triggers for designing are puts forward. Then, a photoelectric detection circuit adopting photodiode is proposed to satisfy the design requirements. Simulation experiments of red light launching with different distances are carried out to test the response performance of the triggering device. Tests and calculation results demonstrate the detection range of designed triggering device is above 560m, satisfied the requirement, and verify the effectiveness of the designed triggering circuit.
