  • Abstract
    A novel modulation technique for digital communication (NPOM )was proposed recently (Liang Dequn et al., 2003). Computer simulation results show that it outperforms the DMT modulation in the ADSL channel (Liang Dequn et al., 2003 and 2005). The studies and simulations have been focused on the basic principle and transmission performance of the new technique. The equalization scheme and its effect on the performance of NPOM has not been studied in detail. This paper discusses the equalization of NPOM modulation and the problems encountered in the equalization process.
