  • Abstract
    A typical circuit breaker lightning fault of open-ring point in 220kV electromagnetic loop network is analyzed. The lightning intruding into the fracture of circuit breaker causes total internal reflection. And it´s the main reason causing the damage of circuit breakers in recent years. Through the analysis, the installation of MOA, in the overhead line entrance of open-ring point in vulnerable area, is the most effective and safe method for prevention of circuit breaker damage events.
