Abstract :
In Poland, following examples of successful ITS implementation is European cities, over 30 cities are planning on ITS implementation. In Katowice, an Intelligent Traffic Management System is being developed. It will cover both public and individual transport. This article is aimed at analysing the transport policy and the traffic management system in Katowice.
