Abstract :
OFDM is a practical modulation technique with highest frequency efficiency at present and it has been adopted by many international communication standards. In this paper a novel time-shift non-orthogonal multi-carrier modulation (TS-NMCM) technology which has higher bandwidth efficiency and more outstanding technology performances than OFDM is introduced; the comparison between TS-NMCM and OFDM on bandwidth efficiency is made; finally the experiments are given. The results in theoretical analysis and experiment show that the ratio of bandwidth efficiency between both is 2.15~5.36.
