Abstract :
The use of ad hoc networking technology in the automotive environment enables new promising services, mainly providing information to the driver increasing vehicle safety. This will lead to a high number of message transmissions and therefore to a high network load. In this context, data aggregation is an interesting approach which reduces the number of packets transmitted drastically by combining several messages related to the same event into one aggregate message
