Abstract
This paper aims at performance study of wireless mesh networks (WMNs). It proposes a realistic approach for experiments and simulations on VoIP capacity in 802.11 chain and lattice mesh topologies. Further, it suggests using a relaxed requirement in order to increase VoIP capacity while achieving acceptable QoS. The study aims to preempt any congestion and degradation of network services which will have an adverse effect on the users
