Abstract
Adopting the two dimension-PIV (Particle Image Velocimetry) system and the numerical simulation method, the paper analyses the velocity field and the temperature field in a room with heat source on the bottom wall. Measured quantities were compared with the numerical results which were obtained through the software Airpak 2.1.12. Thus the turbulence model can be established. In this paper it analyzed the influence of the position of a heating source placed on the floor of a certain room in Xi´an, seven different cases were be considered. On the basis of comparing thermal comfort level when the heat source is placed in different places. It proposes some appropriate suggestions for the heat source arrangement.
