Abstract
Small implantable devices have been investigated with great interest for wireless communication tools. Especially, these devices are expected to apply for medical Held due to the promise of different clinical usages in order to promote independent of patient. In these systems, an antenna which mounted in the devices plays important role as a part of transmitting and receiving signal. Therefore, the research on the antenna is very important for developing the implantable devices. In this report, an implanted antenna which can match an integrated circuit (IC) chip is proposed. The antenna is designed to operate at 2.45 GHz, one of the industrial-scientific-medical (ISM) bands. In addition, the input impedance and the radiation pattern of the antenna is calculated and measured. As a result of the analysis and the measurement, the proposed antenna can be a candidate as an implanted antenna.
