Abstract :
The performance of different receiver structures of the DECT (Digital European Cordless Telecommunications) system is studied. The performance of the DFE-type equaliser is studied and compared with simpler structures. The adaptive DFE equaliser uses a rather simple VSLMS (variable step least mean square) algorithm and coherent detection. This combination has not previously been used in the DECT system. Non-coherent limiter-discriminator and differential detectors and the coherent MSK receiver are also implemented in the simulation environment for performance comparisons
