Abstract :
This paper presents a novel method for the multi-component LFM signal filtering based on the short-time fractional Fourier transform (STFRFT). By choosing an optimal rotation angle and adjusting the window width, interferences and noises in the multi-component signals can be separated and suppressed efficiently in the short-time fractional Fourier domain. The STFRFT can not only retain the linear properties of the short time Fourier transform, but also reduce the impact of Gibbs effect. The statistical analysis of the estimate errors is also performed which perfects the method theoretically, and finally, simulation results are presented to confirm the validity of the STFRFT algorithm.
