Abstract :
Nowadays, science and technology develop rapidly and the requirements of shafting precision are more and more high than before. Especially for ultra-precision engineering, general bearing wasn´t able to meet their requirements. This paper presented a kind of ultra-precision spindle system which combined the gas bearing and magnetic bearing. One kind of more effective ultra precision gas-magnetic bearing system which could be used in the experimental study was designed in this paper. We described the features and principle of the gas bearing and magnetic bearing, and studied the dynamic model and static characteristics of the gas-magnetic bearing spindle system. It´s dynamic equation was given in this paper too.
