Abstract
One must sort out from volaminous data bank the key issues that will effect his business and profession during the 1980´s. When this data is reduced to a workable format it does suggest in my mind the 80´s will require changes in the way we do business and the management of manufacturing operations. The author sees four areas of major change: 1. Productivity Improvement. 2. Technology of Manufacturing. 3. Management of People and their participation in running the business. 4. Image of Product Quality The author over-views these changes in that order.
