Abstract
In a cellular digital packet data (CDPD) system each service provider would select a radio resource management algorithm to manage the sharing of the radio frequency channels between the voice and data users. Traditionally a frequency hopping scheme has been proposed. In this scheme the data users will hop from one frequency to another as and when they are made available due to completion of the voice calls. In this paper we propose a new algorithm that performs better than the traditional scheme. This resource management scheme is called integrated channel management
