Abstract :
In this paper, we use adaptive filter to realize the echo cancellation strategy in On-Channel Repeater (OCR) based on the National Standard of China for Digital Terrestrial Multimedia Broadcasting (DTMB). In order to reduce the computational complexity and solve the drawbacks of convergence and steady state characteristics of the conventional fix step size Least Mean Square (LMS) algorithm, this article introduces a proposed variable step size LMS algorithm. The simulation result indicates that this algorithm costs fewer hardware resources that can be easily implemented by FPGA and has a better performance in convergence and steady state echo cancellation compared with the conventional LMS algorithm.
