Abstract :
The performance of a DECT (RF carrier frequency of 1880 MHz) receiver in both static and dynamic channels are studied. The results obtained from computer-based simulations are discussed and then compared with the theoretical estimates which are developed. The following issues are investigated: BER performance of the differentially coherent detector, with and without decision feedback; performance of slot synchronisation algorithms based on a correlative method; performance of the frequency offset estimation from the DECT preamble; and the performance of the receiver in a multipath environment
